28th Annual ICMC

The 28th annual ICMC will be held virtually on Saturday, March 12, 2022. While we like to have ICMC meet in-person, for students to mingle and see that there are lots of other students that appreciate math, this year is probably not a good time to go back to mingling. So while it pains the Section to announce another virtual competition, that is of course the safest path to proceed with. It will be handled like last year: the problems will be emailed to each participating institution that morning, and your teams meet locally. You decide if you want to put 3 students in one big room, or have them collaborate with each other online (depending on your institution's guidelines for student interaction and location, and your students' preferences). After they are done you will scan and upload your team's submissions. Google Drive access will be shared with the respective graders. As usual, graders will get together that day (via Zoom) to decide who grades which problem. Like last year, you may choose any 3-hour block of time between 9am and 4pm for your teams to meet on Saturday, March 12. Again, the students do not need to be physically in the same room, or even on campus together. They may meet virtually, no matter their actual location that Saturday. Email Ruth Berger to sign up a team.

Past ICMC tests (many with solutions) are available.
